Progressive Web Apps

The mobile app experience, without going through the stores.

A PWA behaves like a native app: it installs on the home screen, works offline, and can send notifications. Ideal for SMEs wanting an app without the constraints and costs of the app stores.

FAQ

What we're
often asked.

Direct answers to real questions.

Does a PWA really work like a native app?

+

For the vast majority of use cases: yes. The PWA installs on the home screen, works offline, and can send notifications. Limitations apply to hardware sensors (Bluetooth, NFC) which require a native app.

Does iOS really support PWAs?

+

Since iOS 16.4, Safari supports push notifications for PWAs. Install and offline mode have been supported since iOS 11.3. Compatibility is good for the vast majority of features.

What's the difference from a native app?

+

A native app accesses all phone hardware (Bluetooth, NFC, etc.) and delivers best performance for games or graphics-heavy apps. For a catalogue, business tool or client portal, a PWA is often sufficient and much less expensive.
